The rest of the IPL 2021 will be played in the UAE in September and October, according to the BCCI. After their Special General Meeting (SGM) on May 29, the declaration might become official.

The 14th edition, which was postponed due to COVID-19, is set to resume around September 16-20 and conclude on October 9-10. The IPL will compete against the forthcoming T20 World Cup, which begins on October 18.

Given the tight timeframe of 22-23 days, the BCCI is thought to be considering multiple double-headers. Because of the hot weather, they may be held at the end of September or the beginning of October.
