As many as five Indian women cricketers are expected to compete in The Hundred's inaugural season.
Apart from senior stars Harmanpreet Kaur and Smriti Mandhana, the 100-ball tournament will also feature top-ranked T20I batter Shafali Verma, all-rounder Deepti Sharma, and Jemimah Rodrigues.
The Manchester Originals have signed Harmanpreet Singh, India's T20I captain, while the Southern Brave have signed Mandhana. Rodrigues will play for the Northern Superchargers, while Deepti will play for the London Spirit. Shafali will be a late replacement for Sophie Devine, who opted out due to logistical issues.
