Rohit Sharma Joins The Elite Of MS Dhoni And Virat Kohli, Became The Third Indian Captain


Indian captain Rohit Sharma makes a special record during the fifth Test between India and England being played in Ranchi. Rohit Sharma is still on the crease with 63 runs and he has joined the elite list of MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli.
Rohit Sharma has now become the third Indian captain to score 1000 runs in each format of international cricket after MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli. Overall, the Hitman became the sixth captain to achieve this feat.

Before Rohit, MS Dhoni, Faf du Plessis, Kane Williamson, Virat Kohli, and Babar Azam have reached this special milestone. Not only this, Sharma also became the 10th Indian captain to score 1000 runs in the longest format of the game. The earliest Indian captain to get this milestone are Sunil Gavaskar, Kapil Dev, Sachin Tendulkar, Mohammad Azharuddin, MA Pataudi, Sourav Ganguly, MA Pataudi, Rahul Dravid, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni.

Till now, Rohit Sharma did not have an impressive series against England. He has a hundred to his name in the Rajkot Test. However, he has got a good start in Dharamsala and he will try to convert it into a big score.
